Parking Information
Preparatory & Continuing Studies students are governed by University of Houston parking rules. During the week, the options below are available to Preparatory & Continuing Studies students. Parking is free on weekends in all parking lots. Occasionally, university sporting events charge for parking on weekends. In this case, parking is still free for people coming to the Moores School of Music. Indicate to the guard that you are coming to the Moores School of Music, and they will let you park for free. Weekday parking options:
- Visitor lots – Visitor parking lot 16F is located directly across from the school of music. Students must pay $4.00 (cash or tokens) to park in this gated lot. Students may purchase tokens at the information booth located by the Alumni Center across from Entrance 16.
- Student lots – Daily temporary permits ($3.00/day) may be purchased at the information booth located by the Alumni Center across from Entrance 16. These permits may be used to park in any UH student parking lot. Student lot 16B is located directly across from the Moores School of Music.
- Metered parking – Metered parking spots ($1.00/hr) are located 1 block away from the school of music on Holman Street. Additional metered spots are located by the College of Architecture at the far end of Entrance 16.
